About Me

Persephonic is led by me, Maria Elena Pakulis (she/her).

Aries moon and rising, Libra sun, Hellenistic astrologer, archetypal tarot guide, and licensed massage therapist.

Born and raised in Tucson, AZ, I have always felt a deep sense of connection to the magic of the Sonoran Desert.

My spiritual journey began when I discovered tarot cards as a young teen and has grown from there into a lifelong study of the healing arts. I see spirituality as a tool for personal and collective liberation; something that can aid us in co-creating a more loving world. I hold a B.A. in gender and sexuality studies and teach tarot and astrology through a radically queer framework.

I began consulting with clients in 2019 and teaching in 2021. Towards the end of my Saturn return, I published a podcast, Past Present Futurecast, featuring interviews with artists and creatives through the framework of a tarot card reading.

In 2026 I co-founded Attunement, a collective wellness space, in Tucson, AZ where I continue to host workshops, classes, community events, and private sessions.
